After weeks of preparation, this weekend marked one of the most significant milestones yet for the TransPennine Route Upgrade around Huddersfield
Anyone who’s spent time deep in TRU planning documents will recognise the graphic doing the rounds at the moment: a simplified route map of the whole Manchester–Huddersfield–Leeds–York corridor, colour-coded by service group, with a table above it setting out the “rolling stock proposed assumption” for each.
Another significant milestone has been reached on the Transpennine Route Upgrade, with the replacement bridge at Colne Bridge Road now visibly entering its final stages of construction.
The Baker Viaduct is entering a new phase of construction, with engineers installing permanent bridge deck sections across the structure in what represents a significant step forward for the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
